Governor O'Malley Seeks to Impose Sales Tax
on Real Property Management Services
Lumping professional real property management services with the likes of tanning salons and massage parlors, Governor O'Malley is looking once again to the real estate industry to solve the state's budget shortfalls.
Despite the fact that the real estate transaction is already overly burdened with at least SEVEN unique real estate taxes, Governor O'Malley believes that the ONLY professional service in Maryland to be subject to this new tax should be management services for both commercial and residential properties. Services provided by lawyers, accountants or doctors are NOT EVEN BEING CONSIDERED!

You must call AND email the following people TODAY and let them know that you are OUTRAGED that your industry, which has helped to keep the Maryland economy afloat for the past five years, is the only profession being targeted for the expansion of the Maryland sales tax.
