Help rally against reducing the mortgage interest deduction,
a deduction which Maryland homebuyers and homeowners count on.

Housing and real estate account for almost one-fifth of Maryland's gross state product. The real estate industry traditionally leads the economy out of recession. We cannot expect Maryland's economy to recover if housing does not recover. A strong real estate market is even more important at the local level. Property owners already contribute more than 45% of local county government revenues.

We must urge our Governor and our county delegation to oppose any limitations on Mortgage Interest and Property Tax deductions. Any such tax increase hurts homeowners, our economy, and our county government revenues.

The larger our number, the louder our message will be to Maryland's General Assembly.
