Deb Poquette: REALTOR® of the Year

Deb has been a licensed REALTOR® for over 14 years and co-founded The Campins Company with Katrina Campins, star of Donald Trump's hit TV show, "The Apprentice". Among her clients are professional athletes in the NFL, NBA and MLB, TV and Radio personalities. "Deb is so deserving of the REALTOR® of the Year award," says Tavares Gooden, draft pick for the Baltimore Ravens. "Being new to life in the NFL and Baltimore can be a little stressful, but Deb made the transition super easy. I can always count on her for prompt, professional service and she really knows her stuff. This girl's got game!"
She has served on Howard County Executive's transition teams for Housing and Planning & Zoning in 2006, was appointed by Executive Ken Ulman to the Spending & Affordability Advisory Committee, served on the PELU (Public Engagement in Land Use) Task Force and is the 2007 - 08 Legislative Committee Chair. Deb is a certified Mediator, member of the MD Council for Dispute Resolution, runs the Baltimore division of The Willis McGahee Foundation and works actively on charity events with The Ravens.
Deb resides in Western Howard County with her husband Trevor, a custom homebuilder, and their two children. When she is not helping clients or busy in the community, you will find her on the local golf course working on her game!
Richard Caldwell: Rookie REALTOR® of the Year

Prior to becoming a REALTOR®, Dick was the Senior Director for Sales Engineering for an International Satellite Communications company based in Washington, DC until he retired in 2005. He used to deal with real estate in space. Now he is dealing with it on the ground. It seemed to Dick to be a natural progression.
Dick has been a REALTOR® for three years, has served on the Legislative Committee and as 2007 - 08 Chair of the Communications Committee. He is heavily involved within his own community as VP of the condominium association, serving as the HOA's first president in transitioning the community from builder to home owner controlled. He also finds time to enjoy hobbies and do occasional consulting work in his former field.
Dick, who was born in Scotland, proudly became a US citizen 24 years ago. He and his wife Judy have been residents of Howard County for 17 years and reside in Ellicott City.
Anne Cooke: MAR President's Award

As a volunteer for over thirty years, Anne Cooke was recently recognized for her lifetime of dedication, commitment and service by Carole McClure, MAR President, at the 2008 MAR Annual Conference. As HCAR's President in 2001, Anne served as Chair of The Grassroots Committee, MRIS Nominating Committee, MRIS Compliance Committee, MRIS Strategic Planning Committee, Chair of The Leadership Academy and curriculum originator, long standing RPAC Trustee, second term Commissioner for The MD Real Estate Commission and active member of ARELLO. After serving as President of the local Woman's Council of REALTORS® she went on to become Governor on a National Level. Additionally, on a national level, she served on The Professional Standards, Multiple List Committees and CRS MD Chapter as Treasurer.
Anne brings her enormous vitality, insight, dry wit, humor, winning ways and abilities to all and to all she is engaged in. From being engaged with a dynamic family and fourteen robust grandchildren, to providing scrumptious crab feasts for Al's Friday Night Card Games she can be found volunteering as former President of The Howard County Women's Republican Club, as Past President of The Howard County Friends of the Library and for over twenty years vigorously raising money for The SIDS FOUNDATION. Last week her chapter raised $125,000 through their Annual Golf Tournament. Perhaps one of the least known of Anne's assets is her artistry of watercolor and piano. We all congratulate Anne on her lifetime of achievements and thank her for her exquisite graciousness and unselfishness in sharing them with us.
