Deb Poquette Appointed to the Howard County Public Ethics Commission

Longtime REALTOR® and HCAR member, Deb Poquette, has been appointed by Howard County Executive Ken Ulman to the Public Ethics Commission and has been confirmed by unanimous vote of the County Council.
The Public Ethics Commission is the advisory body responsible for interpreting the Public Ethics section of Code, advising persons subject to its application, and hearing and deciding complaints of alleged violations of the Public Ethics rules and regulations. The Public Ethics Commission is also the custodian for all forms submitted by any person regarding compliance with ethics rules and regulations.
During the past several years Deb Poquette has served Howard County on the Housing and Planning & Zoning transition teams in 2006, the Spending and Affordability Committee in 2007, and the Public Engagement in Land Use Taskforce for 2007 - 2009. She has served the Howard County Association of REALTORS® as a Director on the Board, Chair of the Legislative Committee for 2007 - 2008, member on the Public Standards and Grievance Committee in 2007 - 2008, and currently serves as Chair of the Community Service/CARE Committee. "I'm humbled by the Executive's appointment to this position and look forward to continuing to serve the county to the best of my ability," says Poquette.
Deb Poquette will serve a two year term and is one of five members on the Public Ethics Commission.
