REALTORS® Insurance Marketplace Open Enrollment

The last day to enroll in a Qualified Health Plan for 2015 is February 15, 2015. After that point, you will need a qualifying event to trigger a Special Enrollment Period.

Are you:
  • Confused about health insurance?
  • In need of coverage?
  • Aware of (or fearful of being subject to) the financial penalties for not being enrolled in an ACA-qualified health plan?
There's a lot of talk about health care and insurance lately, and plenty of room for confusion, but NAR's REALTOR Benefits® Program is here to help make the facts clear with the REALTORS® Insurance Marketplace, an online comparative shopping site exclusively for NAR members.

At www.RealtorsInsuranceMarketplace.com, you'll find a full roster of insurance plans and products, including the private Members Health Insurance Exchange and access to complimentary consultative services from licensed benefit specialists.

Open Enrollment continues through February 15, 2015 for major medical plans that meet ACA mandates with coverage beginning in 2015. Insurance plans and products offered through the Marketplace are available to all NAR members with a NRDS ID, as well as their families.

Visit www.RealtorsInsuranceMarketplace.com today to find information or shop for your health insurance plan.

Safety is No Accident

September may be REALTOR® Safety Month, but it's important that REALTORS® keep safety top of mind every day. In addition to a training presentation, helpful tips, articles, videos and webinars, NAR has updated www.realtor.org/Safety with Resources for REALTORS®, which provides information on safety smart phone apps, safety products and a growing list of safety experts. The REALTOR® Safety Program reminds members to know about the potential dangers they face every day, take precautions and be prepared to avoid risky situations whenever possible.

Continuing Education History Look-Up Now Available OnLine

Maryland Logo
The Maryland Real Estate Commission (MREC) recently announced that licensees are now able to check their personal continuing education (CED) credits on-line through the Commission's new education portal.

Licensees will need to use/create a personal password with their registration number to access their records. The records will list the type of credit, (i.e. Legal & Legislative, Fair Housing...), the number of hours the class has, the date the program was given and the school that the program was taken with. All schools, effective since January 2013, are required to up-load their student rosters to the Commission's site, which will populate each licensee's personal record.

(Please note: MAR has only up-loaded classes since September 2012. MAR CED classes given prior to September 2012 are not listed on the Commission's site and licensees should keep their paper certificates for renewal verification.)

Just think, you will now be able to check on all your classes taken, regardless of the schools, at one location!
