SentriLock Lockbox Conversion

Dear Howard County Association of REALTORS® member:

In an effort to answer some of your questions about the upcoming Key and Lockbox Exchange, the Howard County Association of REALTORS® and your SentriLock Installation Team have put together this flyer. Please see that it receives the widest dissemination.

Class Registration Deadline
You have until Monday, February 25th, 2008 to preregister for the key/lockbox exchange and prepay the Annual Lockbox System Fees.

Lockbox Exchange
The Key/Lockbox Exchange is the event where you'll be able to turn in your Supra keys and Supra lockboxes in return for obtaining a SentriCard® and REALTOR® Lockbox. Please see the Q&A at the end of this email for more details.

Supra Key Only
Even if you don't own any lockboxes, you are still required to attend the key/lockbox exchange. You'll be picking up your SentriCard®, Card Reader and Card Utility Software.

SentriLock TSA Invitations
To attend the Lockbox Exchange, you must pre-register using SentriLock's TSA Invitation. The invitations are being mailed to the email address you have listed in the NRDS database. If you've not received an invitation, call SentriLock Support.

Calling SentriLock Support
Please call SentriLock Support at 877-736-8745, use prompt #1 for Technical Support. Then choose the * (star) key to bypass the SentriCard® serial number and then press Option #3.

What if...?

  • I've received my SentriLock TSA Invitation?
    Please click on the link provided. Choose your class date and time. Enter the amount of lockboxes you'll be returning. There will also be a link to prepay your Lockbox System fees. Follow that link to pay by check or credit card. If you have any questions, please call SentriLock Support at the number listed above.

  • I've not received my SentriLock TSA Invitation and my email is correct in NRDS?
    If you've not received an invitation and your email address is correct, please check your Spam or Junk Mail filter. If the email is not there, please call SentriLock Support at 877-736-8745, Prompt #1.

  • I've not received my SentriLock TSA Invitation and my email is incorrect in NRDS?
    If you've not received and invitation and your NRDS email is not accurate, please call SentriLock Support at 877-736-8745, Prompt #1. A Support Representative will enroll you in the class. They'll obtain your correct email and ensure you receive a confirmation email.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:

  1. What will keep me from standing in line?
    Pre-registering and prepaying your lockbox system fees. Bringing your Supra Key. Ensuring you are the LISTED OWNER of all the lockboxes you bring in.

  2. When is SentriLock Support open? Are they open 24 hours?
    SentriLock Support is open 7 days a week from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. Your hold time when calling is approximately 30 seconds. The call duration when signing up is approximately 2 minutes.

  3. Do I need to turn in my Supra Key at the Exchange? Are the Supra Keys being turned off?
    You are not required to turn in your Supra keys. However, if you hold a MARS Supra key, the key will be turned off March 4th. If you hold a Greater Capital key, it will not be turned off until December 2008. You will be expected to pay a prorated fee to Supra for use of this key. You are NOT required to turn either key in - just know when they can no longer be used!

  4. Am I required to have my key at the Exchange?
    No you're not. You can be looked up by your name or HCAR ID Number.

  5. I'm a member of Howard County, but also a member of another board. I've not received an invitation. What do I do?
    You will receive an invitation from your PRIMARY Association. If your primary membership is Howard County Association of REALTORS®, you'll receive an invitation to our Exchange. If your primary membership is with another Association, you'll receive an invitation to their Exchange. This is where you'll obtain your Equipment.

  6. How many lockboxes will I be receiving?
    You will receive one REALTOR® lockbox for every Supra iBox (the blue box with the Infrared Port) or AEII that you bring (gray square box). There are some caveats to this so please be prepared:

    1. The Supra lockbox must be assigned to you in the KIM system.

    2. The Supra lockbox must be programmed in one of these 8 associations:
      1. Howard County AOR
      2. Carroll County AOR
      3. Greater Baltimore AOR
      4. Harford County AOR
      5. Frederick County
      6. Anne Arundel AOR
      7. Greater Capital AOR
      8. Prince George's

    3. If you received a message from Peggy saying "NOT A MARS LOCKBOX", you must call to wherever you've purchased lockboxes to ensure they're programmed in your name.

    4. If the serial number on your AEII (gray or beige lockbox) or iBox (blue lockbox) cannot be read or the sticker has come off, please do not bring these to the key/Lockbox Exchange. You will be given the change to exchange it after the key/lockbox exchange at the Howard County AOR offices.

    SPECIAL NOTE: Prince Georges and Greater Capital Areas will not be converting to SentriLock until the end of 2008, so you may wish to retain some or all of the Supra boxes programmed for these areas, and extend your Supra key service, if you expect to do show properties or have listings in those areas between now and the end of the year. (See #10 below) Once these Associations convert, arrangements will be made to exchange the boxes you retained for use in the Prince Georges and Greater Capital Areas.

  7. What if I have lockboxes that are not in my name?
    Please don't bring them to the key/lockbox exchange. They will not be exchanged for you there. Howard County will be able to exchange them for you afterwards.

  8. What if I didn't get the list together for Peggy?
    That's ok. If a lockbox is NOT accepted at the exchange, you'll be able to turn it in to Howard County AOR for exchange. In order to have a smooth Exchange, we'll hand these non-acceptable lockboxes back to you.

  9. What do the Lockbox System Fees cover?
    The system fees cover your SentriCard® which will open all REALTOR® Lockboxes in MARS and the surrounding Associations as they transfer to the SentriLock system without you having to do anything. The fee also covers exchanging your old lockboxes. Lastly, you'll receive a free Home Card Reader and SentriLock Card Utility software.

  10. How can I show homes that have Supra boxes? Can a SentriCard® work on a Supra lockbox?
    No, a SentriCard® will not work on a Supra lockbox or vice versa. At the exchange you can opt to keep your Supra key. Be aware of the inactivation dates! March 4th for a MARS Supra Key and December 2008 for Greater Capital.

  11. I have a question that wasn't covered here. Who do I call?
    Start with calling SentriLock Support at 877-736-8745, Prompt #1. They'll direct you if they can't answer the question.
