The HCAR Cares Community Outreach Committee invites members to volunteer for a community service project in partnership with Bridges to Housing Stability, a Howard County nonprofit committed to preventing homelessness and creating pathways to affordable housing.

During this two day project, volunteers will assist with spackling and painting a 1 BD / 1 BA condo located in Columbia, Maryland 21044 to help prepare the home for a family in need.

This project includes five separate 2 hour shifts across two days:

Day 1 – Wednesday, March 11, 2026
Spackle & Prep Work

Day 2 – Thursday, March 12, 2026
Sanding & Painting

Volunteers are asked to register for ONE shift only to allow as many members as possible the opportunity to participate. 

Spots are limited and expected to fill quickly.
