COLUMBIA, MD, APRIL 23, 2024 – The Howard County Association of REALTORS® (HCAR) is pleased to announce its continued partnership with the Office of Howard County Executive Calvin Ball to celebrate National Fair Housing Month. At HCAR’s request and in recognition of our collective commitment to equitable and inclusive change, a proclamation has been issued by the County Executive to officially affirm April 2024 as Fair Housing Month in Howard County.

Howard County, MD, April 2024 - It’s finally Spring - the weather is getting warmer, house prices are increasing, and the housing market is beginning to spring into action in Howard County. March 2024 data shows that while numbers may look low in a year-over-year comparison, the market is showing more life than it did in the previous month, according to the Howard County Association of REALTORS® (HCAR), which released its March 2024 Housing Report on Friday, April 19, 2024.

Howard County, MD, March 2024 - The local home market is still moving slowly as winter draws to an end in Howard County. February 2024 data shows that while housing prices increased, limited supply resulted in a slow-moving market, according to the Howard County Association of REALTORS® (HCAR), which released its February 2024 Housing Report on Monday, March 25, 2024.

Howard County, MD, March 2024 - As the Howard County housing market settled into the new calendar year, the trend of declining market activity continued. January 2024 data shows there is some life; however, activity is slow in comparison to January 2023 with a 9.9 percent decrease in home sales, according to the Howard County Association of REALTORS® (HCAR), which released its January 2024 Housing Report on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.
