Joseph graduated from North Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Architecture and moved to Maryland in 1988. He began designing houses that were built at the age of 17 while working for a lumber company in his hometown in Minnesota. His experience in and around home construction at a young age has continued for over 40 years as an architect and home inspector. After starting his own architectural practice in 2000, he bought a Pillar To Post franchise in 2010.

Having completed over 5,000 inspections, Joseph has gained a reputation for being thorough and knowledgeable in the field. His calm demeanor and depth of experience help him to articulate the issues faced at each property so that the buyer can understand and make informed decisions.
