Annapolis, MD, May 31, 2023 – Anita Kestel, a member of the Howard County Association of REALTORS® (HCAR) Board of Directors, is one of 20 real estate professionals from across the state to graduate from the 2023 Maryland REALTORS® Leadership Academy.
Kestel is an HCAR Preferred Partner and founder of My TransACTION Co. Real Estate Transaction Coordination.
The Maryland REALTORS® Leadership Academy was formed by REALTORS® who understand the important role they play in their community and the need to enhance the leadership skills, knowledge, and competencies of fellow REALTORS® interested in making a difference in their personal lives and their communities.
The Academy offers an intensive curriculum designed to develop skills in leadership, communications, strategic planning, legislative and government affairs, community involvement, and interaction. Classes are conducted over seven months and stress the value of professional and personal commitment to business, charitable, and civic endeavors.
Kestel has been a member of HCAR since 2018. She joined the HCAR Board of Directors in 2020. She has previously served as a member of HCAR’s Legislative Committee, and this year, Kestel serves as the co-chair of HCAR’s Preferred Partner Outreach Committee in addition to being a member of the Education, Forms, and Awards Committees.
Beyond her work with HCAR, Kestel founded My TransACTION Co. in 2012 providing virtual support services for other agents. She has worked in the real estate industry for nearly 25 years and has managed thousands of transactions over the years for herself and in assisting other agents.
