Annapolis, MD, April 26, 2024 – Jimmie Jennings, a member of the Howard County Association of REALTORS® (HCAR) Board of Directors, is a 2024 graduate of the Maryland REALTORS®’ Leadership Academy, a leadership development program that builds leaders for the industry and in the communities they serve.

 

Jennings is an HCAR member, 2023-2024 HCAR President-elect, 2023-2024 Chair of the HCAR RPAC Committee, and a Vice President and Supervising Broker with Century 21 New Millennium in Columbia, MD.

 

The Maryland REALTORS® Leadership Academy was formed by REALTORS® who understand the important role they play in their community and the need to enhance the leadership skills, knowledge, and competencies of fellow REALTORS® interested in making a difference in their personal lives and their communities.

 

The mission of the Leadership Academy is to build tomorrow’s strong leaders today, leaders who can address the challenges facing real estate with professionalism, transparency, and leadership. 

 

The Leadership Academy annually reviews applications coming from all corners of the state to select a diversified group of qualified members for the prestigious program. The program consists of seven sessions held monthly between October and April, to develop distinct leadership skills and competencies. Courses include legislative and advocacy, communication skills, and relationship management and networking. Most who enter the program go on to serve in leadership capacities within their communities and with Maryland REALTORS® at the state level.  

 

Already a proven leader in the Howard County real estate market, Jennings, who currently serves as HCAR’s President-Elect, is poised to become the local board’s president in the coming year. While serving on other real estate boards, Jennings also serves as a Stephen’s Minister within his faith-based community.
